Beaux Arts Gala – A Celebration of Excellence

An annual tradition that celebrates student accomplishments, alumni and the School. Hosted by SoDAA, Tau Sigma Delta and the Studio Coalition, Beaux Arts starts off at the Fargo Theater (with organist and popcorn!) with an awards program, celebrating scholarships, external awards, etc. for students across the school.   There is then a special panel with the theme “Spring into Action” and “Do Good”.  This theme is a celebration of one of our most treasured alum, John Klai,  who passed away this spring and was one of the most successful architects in the country. SoDAA’s very own Klai Hall is named after John as well as the SoDAA Library. John was focused on community, especially his treasured network of SoDAA alum!

The panel this year will be revealed one week at a time and there is a speaker that represents each department with a focus on the unique paths that individuals take when they graduate from our School.

The program is then followed up by a Student organized Gala/Party – led by Tau Sigma Delta Honors Society and the Student Coalition which takes place at the Jasper Hotel Ballroom across the street from the Fargo Theater. There will be music, food, activities and fun!  The dress for this event is Cocktail Casual – from formal to dressed up casual you are encouraged to think of the theme “Spring into Action” and “DO GOOD!”
